01/01/11 - New Year, New Hope

There are so many experiences and dreams that I have in my heart for this new year... 2011 feels full of promise and I so desperately want to see the realization of some of the hopes that were dashed last year. I don't ask for a trouble-free year... only that I can have the strength to conquer whatever obstacles may arise and gain whatever knowledge or experience are to be had from them. I know this is possible with the help of my family, my friends, and most importantly my Savior. And a reprieve from some of the difficulties we've experienced lately would be a wondrous blessing.

My New Year's Resolutions:

1. Be grateful for every breath and every moment of life.
2. Love and care for my family fiercely.
3. Show that gratitude and love in my everyday actions.
4. Realign myself with the things that matter most... yes, including prayer and scripture study and temple attendance. No more pushing those things to the background.
5. Don't overschedule myself - it's okay to say no sometimes!
6. Be healthy. Become the strongest, fittest vessel possible for any future children we may be blessed with.
7. Put off being a procrastinator... in other words, DO IT NOW!
8. Learn something new that I've never done before.
9. Make a difference in someone's life outside of my family.
10. Be happy! "Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy." 2 Nephi 2:25
